Bentley Named Company of the Year

KENT, England – Construction Computing magazine announced today that Bentley Systems, Incorporated was named Company of the Year during The Hammers 2006 awards ceremony at the Russell Hotel in London. This top award, which is voted on by the readers of Construction Computing, recognizes the company that has earned the highest respect and admiration of users and suppliers through its commitment to technological innovation and the development of quality products and services for construction IT professionals.

Stuart Leigh, director of the Construction Computing awards program, said, “The Construction Computing readership voted in droves for Bentley. Of the roughly 4000 votes cast in the Company of the Year category, Bentley received more than 2500. This is just reward for a company that not only is a pioneer in a challenging, technology-driven arena, but also produces quality products for a demanding marketplace. To win any of The Hammers 2006 awards is difficult, so winning Company of the Year confirms Bentley’s place at the top of the construction computing tree.”

In accepting the award for Bentley, Neville Glanville, building industry sales director for Bentley, said, “I am pleased and honored to accept this award on behalf of our more than 2000 colleagues around the globe. Receiving this type of acknowledgement further validates Bentley’s strategy of supporting users throughout the lifecycle of their projects. Our goal is to help users be successful by providing them with a fully integrated portfolio ranging from building information modeling to solutions for civil, geospatial, and plant applications.”

Other awards presented at The Hammers 2006 included: E-Commerce Product of the Year, Project Management Product of the Year, Business IT Service Provider of the Year, CAD Product of the Year, Estimating and Valuation Product of the Year, Management Information Product of the Year, Mobile Technology Product of the Year, Software Product of the Year, Hardware Product of the Year, Construction Computing Solution of the Year, Channel Partner of the Year, Editor’s Choice, and Construction Computing Product of the Year.
