Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging to deliver Mobile Enterprise Asset Management capability with Acquis

Norcross, USA, 7 March 2007 - Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging and Acquis Inc. have strengthened their partnership by delivering interactive mobile access to geospatial information within the Oracle Spatial Enterprise. The demand for accurate and accessible asset information is driving the need for interactive mobile asset management capabilities.

Acquis provides the core technology to capture, query and update geospatial and asset information in real-time, connected or disconnected mode, from any mobile device to an Oracle Spatial database.

Acquis extends the same interactive application capability to field engineers as office based personnel, eliminating the need for expensive post data processing. Field engineers can also choose to store, query and update asset maintenance information in a disconnected mode and synchronize to the database at a later point in time.
