DigitalGlobe, provider of high- resolution imagery and geospatial information products, announced the addition of Geoimage Pty Ltd of Brisbane, Australia to its network of distribution partners. Under terms of the agreement, Geoimage will resell DigitalGlobe’s high-resolution satellite imagery throughout Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the islands of the South West Pacific. Geoimage joins Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM), an earlier DigitalGlobe partner, in servicing the geospatial needs of the region.
With the launch of the WorldView constellation by DigitalGlobe, Geoimage will be able to respond to their clients needs for an expanded source of geospatial information products and supply them with the data that they need to conduct business and maintain their competitive advantage in their markets.
Both, Geoimage and SKM, will continue to focus on their clients in various industries including, mining and petroleum resources, government, environment, mapping, GIS, etc. Together, they will complement one another and extend the reach of DigitalGlobe throughout Australia and the Oceania marketplace.
