GIS NEWS: SAN Holdings, Inc., provider of data access solutions, announced the sale by SANZ, Inc., its wholly owned subsidiary, and Solunet Storage, Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of SANZ, of its EarthWhere business unit to SPADAC Inc.
SPADAC is headquartered in McLean and provides predictive analysis products and services to improve decision making. The buying of the EarthWhere unit will improve the companies predictive alaysis model by incorporate geographical attribute to it. As, EarthWhere automates the management of geospatial data, elevation models, scanned maps, satellite imagery and aerial photography, allowing companies and government agencies to quickly ingest, catalog, explore and provision raster data.
"The sale of EarthWhere is another strategic step forward for SANZ. This transaction is good for us and it's good for SPADAC," said Todd Oseth, Chairman and CEO of SAN Holdings, Inc. "It allows SANZ to focus on growing our core data access solutions business, and it allows SPADAC to complement and expand upon its existing geospatial predictive analytics solutions."
