Canon USA announced the release at Graph Expo 2007 in Chicago, two new large-format printers for GIS and CAD applications and general large-format printing.
The imagePROGRAF iPF610 and imagePROGRAF iPF710 print 24-inch- and 36-inch-wide prints, respectively, and they feature a five-color dye/pigment inkset for super-sharp, narrow lines perfect for maps and design drawings. The printers also support HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL page description languages for wide compatibility with a variety of CAD and GIS applications.
The iPF610 and iPF710 are compatible with Windows and Mac systems via the AutoCAD imagePROGRAF HDI Driver and imagePROGRAF Printer Driver 2007. The iPF610 and iPF710 will be available later this year at estimated prices of USD 2,295 and USD 3,995, respectively.
