Nigeria Digital Oil and Gas atlas

Nigeria’s geospatial solutions and content supplier, Proxy Logics Limited announced the release of its updated Nigeria Oil and Gas database. The oil and gas geodatabase consists of all oil wells, pipeline networks, flow stations, and concession maps of the country.

These datasets are available as GIS vector layers, having undergone major processing and are well attributed. Our concession data include attributes like OML Id, Owner, Operator, Production Start Date etc. These data sets have been used for different applications including pipeline routing, oil spill compensation, production analysis, oil block bidding applications, environmental impact assessment, risk and vulnerability analysis etc.

Chief Operating Officer of Prodia GEIS, one of the major users of Oil and Gas Inventory, Sowunari Kerley has described the updated release as a sharp indication of Proxy Logics commitment to provide its clients with value added services. ‘Prodia GEIS has been using ProxyLogics’ oil and gas inventory in our enterprise GIS for over three years, it’s a critical part of what we do and we are satisfied’, he said.

Proxy Logics will also release a Pollution Inventory for Niger Delta region of Nigeria. This inventory will have all oil spill locations, quantity of spill and date of spill for every oil spillage in Nigeria since 1956.
