OneGIS expands

OneGIS is pleased to announce that it has made several recent additions to its management and technical staff, resulting in expanded consulting capabilities for the growing GIS consulting and systems integration firm. Recent hires include training and project management staff as well as GIS analysts.

Ms. Kelley Kiser has been hired as training manager. In this new position, she is responsible for managing all training and course development activities for the company. She is currently involved in developing and teaching GIS courses for a number of large telecommunications organizations in a subcontracting capacity to Telcordia® Technologies on their industry leading, Network Engineer product line as well as managing OneGIS’ training efforts for its other direct municipal, utility and telecom clients.

Prior to joining OneGIS, Ms. Kiser was an account executive and GIS specialist with AGL Resources, a major gas company in the southeast where she was responsible for training over 350 individuals on desktop and mobile GIS as well as gas industry-specific GIS applications. She holds a B.S. degree in Geography with a minor in Marketing and a certificate in GIS from the University of North Alabama.

Mr. Todd Payne and Mr. Stephen Bankston have been hired as project managers. In this position, these new employees are responsible for providing project implementation and other GIS consulting services to OneGIS clients. Previously Mr. Payne was with the City of Atlanta Bureau of Engineering where he was responsible for coordinating the Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES) maintenance for the city’s GIS, which provided up-to-date information for the prioritization of CIP and rehab projects for the Clean Water Atlanta program. Mr. Payne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia with dual majors in Economics and GIS/Location Analysis and an Associates of Science/Business from Young Harris College. He is a Certified GIS Professional.

Mr. Bankston was previously with Denver Water Board where he held the positions of GIS Systems Analyst, Applications Developer and Data Manager. In these positions, he was responsible for designing an enterprise geodatabase to incorporate the business requirements of seven divisions including Operations & Management, Transmission & Distribution, Engineering, Survey, Planning, Property, and Hydraulics. He also was responsible for developing and supporting numerous GIS applications and managed numerous GIS production datasets. Mr. Bankston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland.

Mr. Phil Reed has been hired as GIS Analyst. In this position, he is responsible for assisting in the implementation of GIS and third party applications as well as the preparation and validation of datasets at client sites. Mr. Reed previously held the position of Photogrammetrist/CADD Analyst at Lowe Engineers in Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Geographic Information Sciences with a concentration in Urban Planning from Kennesaw State University.

Ms. Shelby Beringer has been hired as GIS Technician. In this position, she is responsible for supporting the consulting activities of the OneGIS management and consulting team. Ms. Beringer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Kennesaw State University and is currently finishing a Masters Degree in Geography at Georgia State University.
