QUO2

Mapyx launches a newer version of its digital mapping software, QUO2. Offering a new simple interface, powerful features and many other improvements, QUO2 continues Mapyx policy of low-price maps.

The upgrade is free to existing users and Mapyx also offers Ordnance Survey map upgrades at cost price. "This means that, unlike users of competitors' software, Quo customers can now enjoy the latest software and their investment in OS maps without breaking the bank,” said Mohan Sahota, a director of Mapyx Ltd.

Documentation of QUO has also been improved and video tutorials are available on the website. QUO2 includes features like comparing route profiles and special route planning tools for cyclists.

Pricing too has been radically simplified. Mapyx offers customers a free version, Quo GO, which contains all the product features but with simpler functionality. And Quo PRO, for a competitive price, with no limitations at all. The only optional extras are the mobile version and specialist bird watching and anglers' diaries.

With any digital mapping software the maps are the most important asset. Quo 2 offers the very latest cleaner and sharper Ordnance Survey maps. OS maps can be bought in packs, such as National Parks, GB, England, Scotland or Wales. Or can be bought as individual 1:50k and 1:25k tiles, plus aerial photography.
