The Year in Infrastructure 2007: Digital Version

Bentley Systems, Incorporated today published the digital version of “The Year in Infrastructure 2007,” Bentley’s 180-page project yearbook highlighting the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving the world’s infrastructure. The yearbook features descriptions and color illustrations of the more than 230 project nominations recognized and 36 winners honored in the Building, Plant, Civil, Geospatial, IT and Training, and Academic categories of the 2007 BE Awards of Excellence program. New this year is a category for Sustainable Design.

The BE Awards of Excellence, which are judged by an independent, international panel of industry experts, honor the projects of Bentley users – projects that set benchmarks and showcase the imagination and technical mastery of the organizations that created them. Exemplifying technological leadership, this inspiring work has improved the quality of life around the globe. Robust infrastructure benefits people and their communities, sustaining and invigorating human enterprises and systems that shape and enrich all of our lives. These enterprises and systems span commerce, industry, health, shelter, communications, transportation, government, education, and culture.

Jay McGraw, group publisher, McGraw-Hill Construction, which sponsors the BE Awards ceremony, said, “Bentley’s ‘Year in Infrastructure 2007’ captures the best of the best in building, plant, civil, and geospatial project work. I highly recommend this extraordinary publication to everyone interested in the infrastructure that sustains us, especially those engaged in the architectural, engineering, construction, and geospatial professions. It provides the opportunity to learn about the accomplishments and challenges faced by some of the most innovative project teams in the world.”
