Caliper Corporation, a worldwide leader in GIS and transportation software, is pleased to announce the release of Data CDs containing 2010 demographic projections and 2008 demographic estimates for ZIP Code areas. These data are provided for the 33,237 current 5-digit ZIP Codes areas that are included with the Caliper GIS software products.
The demographic data include July 1, 2010 projections and July 1, 2008 estimates with counts by age, race, sex, and Hispanic origin.
The demographic estimate and projection data each have total population plus 19 categories of age (under 1, 1-4, five year age groups from 5-9 to 80-84, and 85+), 4 categories of race (White, Black, American Indian and Alaska Native, and Asian and Pacific Islander), 2 categories of sex (Male and Female), and 2 categories of Hispanic (Non-Hispanic or Latino origin, and Hispanic or Latino origin).
These data have valuable applications in marketing, real estate, urban planning, transportation planning, social and economic analysis, site location, and business forecasting.
These data are available in Caliper geographic file format for use with Caliper’s Maptitude and TransCAD Version 5.0 software. An ESRI Shapefile with these data for ZIP Code centroid point is also available.
Pricing:
Single user license prices for both the 2010 demographic projection and the 2008 demographic estimate data are $895 nationwide, $495 for large states (California, Texas, New York, Florida), and $295 each for all other states. The separate prices for either the 2010 demographic projection or the 2008 demographic estimate data are $495 nationwide, $295 for large states, and $195 for other states. Web licensing and site licenses are also available upon request.
