Norcross, USA, 7 November 2006 - Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging has introduced IMAGINE DeltaCue, a new add-on module for ERDAS IMAGINE. Change detection is one of the most common uses of remotely sensed data and IMAGINE DeltaCue provides the broad assortment of image processing tools needed to simplify complex change detection processes, allowing users to move from image to information to results.
An adaptable suite of processing procedures, IMAGINE DeltaCue provides tools for Broad Area Search for change across entire images, targeted Site Monitoring visualization tools for detailed analysis and a customized Change Viewer interface – specially designed for change detection studies – that allows the user to produce output in a variety of formats appropriate for integrating into GIS and other databases.
IMAGINE DeltaCue key application areas include: Detecting changes in land use and land cover; Delineating wetlands loss and encroachment; Estimating forest loss through development or disease; Identifying new housing and infrastructure changes; Mapping flood extent areas and disaster impact zones.
The key features include: Analyzes the information present in all bands of multispectral data; Multiple change detection algorithms and filters can be combined and iterated to produce the desired results; Eliminate unwanted “noise” change; Scalable across imagery types from high quality, high resolution to low quality, low resolution sources.
IMAGINE DeltaCue will be available during the first quarter of 2007.
