DBx Geomatics Inc. announced the release of CartoVista, a complete web publishing solution for statistical data. Built entirely with Adobe Flash Technology and XML, CartoVista is an innovative mapping dashboard to publish and share geo-statistical data on the web.
With a comprehensive list of interactive features, CartoVista combines vector-based web mapping with thematic display and visualization. It also features advanced thematic mapping tools to display the user strategic data in innovative and meaningful ways. Users can select indicator variables and display corresponding thematic maps in a very user-friendly context.
CartoVista Flash maps are highly compressed and can be scaled without loss of quality across different screen resolutions. CartoVista uses an XML format for the indicator data, making it simple to link to back-end business processes such as corporate databases, and other rich sources of real-time information. CartoVista features crystal-clear, atlas-quality map labelling and support for drill-down navigation.
“CartoVista is an out-of-the-box solution for large and small enterprises that want to publish high quality interactive statistics through an innovative mapping platform”, said Dany Bouchard, President of DBx Geomatics. “With a few clicks, users can combine multiple indicators and display insightful information about their business. CartoVista is all about interactivity. Our goal is to provide a user interface that is reactive and full of high visual impact graphics and tools to help any decision process.”
“CartoVista maps can be deployed on any type of web server or even locally as a standalone application or on any media or storage device”, said Mr. Bouchard. “In sum, CartoVista enables enterprises to harness the power of Adobe Flash technologies and integrate intelligent, simple to deploy dashboard maps into their IT environment.”
